Milesbrand is proud to share that Kelly Fink, Chief Operating Officer of Milesbrand, has been named the Second Vice Chair of the National Sales and Marketing Council Board of Trustees, part of the National Association of Home Builders. The appointment reflects more than two decades of involvement in a council that has shaped the new home sales and marketing profession, and it sets Kelly on the officer track toward chairing the council in the years ahead.

“I have had the privilege of serving this council from the home builder side and the agency side, and I believe that provides me with a unique perspective during our council conversations,” said Kelly. “Staying closely engaged with the NSMC keeps us close to the people, the research and the trends that ultimately benefit our clients at Milesbrand. This year I participated in the Capitol Hill visits in DC to discuss legislature so important to home builders and developers.”

Second Vice Chair is the first seat on the NSMC officer track, a three-year progression that carries increasing responsibility for the direction of the council. Kelly will serve as Vice Chair in 2027 and Chair of the Board in 2028.

About the National Sales and Marketing Council

Home builders, new home sales and marketing professionals, real estate agents, market researchers, interior designers, advertisers, sales consultants and architects all find a home within the NSMC, a council built to keep their businesses thriving through education, information, resources and networking. The council publishes industry insight through NAHB Council Concepts and sponsors The Nationals, the industry's largest awards program recognizing excellence in new home sales and marketing, alongside the Sales and Marketing Council of the Year Award and the Sales and Marketing Council Member of the Year Award.

For a branding and marketing agency built exclusively around residential real estate, this kind of council involvement matters. It keeps Milesbrand close to the research, the trends and the professionals shaping where the industry is headed, and it keeps the agency's thinking grounded in the same conversations happening among the home builders and real estate developers it serves.

What the Role Involves

As Second Vice Chair, Kelly supports the Chair and Vice Chair, serves across the council's subcommittees and helps lead board meetings while preparing to assume the Vice Chair's responsibilities next year. Together with the Past Chair, the officer team makes up the Executive Subcommittee, which provides continuity and strategic oversight for the council between its formal meetings.

Much of that work happens in person. Kelly's role brings her to the Fall Leadership Meeting, the Spring Leadership Meeting and NAHB's Legislative Conference, and the International Builder’s Show Council meetings each year, the three gatherings where NAHB's councils and committees convene and set direction for the work ahead. The 2026 Fall Leadership Meeting will be held October 6-8 in Detroit. In the spring, the Leadership Meeting is paired with NAHB's Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., where members meet directly with elected representatives to advocate for housing policies that affect the industry and the home buyers it serves.

Two Decades of Involvement

Kelly's path to this seat has built gradually over more than 20 years. She has served on the NSMC Board of Trustees off and on since the early 2000s, first as a home builder representative and later as an associate member representative, and that dual vantage point from both the builder side and the agency side continues to shape how she approaches the council's work today.

Over the years, she has chaired and vice chaired several of the council's subcommittees, including Membership and Communications and Awards and Recognition, and she previously chaired the Institute of Residential Marketing. She earned her MIRM designation in 2006.

Her commitment to industry leadership began at the local level, where she served on the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council's leadership team from 2008 to 2015, including as Chair in 2014, the year she was recognized with the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Chairman of the Year award.

A Career Built on Industry Engagement

Kelly brings 30 years of experience in home building and real estate to the role, including positions such as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Qualifying Broker. She is a five-time Gold OBIE Award winner for Marketing Director of the Year through the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and a two-time Gold Award winner for Marketing Director of the Year through NAHB's NSMC, and she has been a regular speaker at the International Builders' Show since 2009.

Beyond her council leadership, Kelly stays invested in developing the next generation of industry leaders. She participated in Shore Consulting’s Women’s Leadership Circle in 2024, served as a Cohort Leader for the Women's Leadership Alumni Circle in 2025 and continues her involvement as part of the 2026 Circle. She recently attended the 5-year anniversary gathering to celebrate alongside women leaders from across the country.

Kelly has also been a regular speaker at the International Builder’s Show since 2009 discussing topics ranging from branding and omni channel marketing to online sales and social media tactics for home builders, just to name a few. She has enjoyed speaking engagements during her time with home builders, as well as on the agency side.

Looking Ahead

As Kelly steps from the Second Vice Chair role toward the Chair position in 2028, her focus stays on leaving the council stronger, more connected and more valuable to its members. Milesbrand congratulates Kelly on this appointment and is proud to support her continued leadership within the National Sales and Marketing Council.

Home builders, sales and marketing professionals and agency partners interested in getting more involved with the NSMC are encouraged to connect with Kelly to learn more.
